As Google says in their presentation (see the separate thread here which contains the presentation), Google Wave is three things...

A Product
A Platform
A Protocol

And.... It's OPEN SOURCE....

Which means, I am assuming, that the entire FOSS (free open source software) movement will be behind it.... and developing for it....

This is a brilliant thing for the advancement communication.... for mankind.

Even in the poorest of countries.... where most people don't have enough food... If they can somehow get hold of the infrastructure of electricity and even an old PC... and internet connectivity...

They will be using Ubuntu Linux as their desktop Operating System... and Google Wave as their communication platform...; ▶ Reply to This
