It depends on how many people you give access to and your tolerance of spam. On one of my MySpace accounts I have over 13,000 friends. No way I can closely moderate that account so I put up with a little spam. On the Google Wave I think it will be similar but much easier to delete spammers. Our sensitivity to spamming will change with it, maybe virtual acquaintances who invite us to one to many art openings will have to go bye bye.
